De jeugd van tegenwoordig is met de computerpap opgegroeid en dat laat zich merken in de muziek: meer en meer wordt de computer een organisch instrument (denk indietronic, folktronic, electrotrash) ipv. een koud studioapparaat (denk techno, gabber).
Netlabelism presenteert ism. Radio Scorpio zacht elektronisch geknetter in Netwaves v.0.3: smart electronics for a new sharing world.

De tweede episode elektronische delikatessen was weer mooi. Filmjölk begon het drieluik met een mooi, coherent, melancholisch klankschap, hier en daar gebroken door postmodern geknetter. Langzaam nam Amorph dit klankschap over om geleidelijk meer melodie en ritme in te laten sijpelen op een beheerste, strakke wijze. QuiOui sloot dit drieschap af met een zeer overtuigende set van heel gevarieerde glitch en beats, mooi in een melodieus patroon gehouden. Het geheel werd door ondergetekende omlijst door een keur van minimal beats.
Nog een woordje van QuiOui: "also good organisation and good follow up with radio and interview, it was great to be there".

Versie 0.3 komt eraan op 23 maart, same place, same time. Hou ook 30 april en 25 mei vrij.
Maandag 26 feb. komt er een audio verslag in Netwaves @ Radio Scorpio (106 FM Leuven en omstreek). Dinsdag staat dit verslag op het moederschip.

The new Netwaves knows New wave, you know? This episode explores the 8T's revival of 'New wave' which is also infecting the netlabelscene. It features an interview with Berlin's Zirkulardynamik.

Netlabel-muziek slaat aan. Op 11 februari verwelkomt Radio Scorpio een gloednieuw programma over erotiek, waarin enkel vrije muziek gebruikt wordt. Elke zondagavond kun je tussen 21u. en 22u. in Het Rijk van Eros op reis door de geheime speeltuin der erotiek. Erotiek, met een culturele en een filosofische inslag. Verwacht in Het Rijk van Eros niet al te veel intimiteit of sexualiteit. Erotiek is wat dit programma brengt, met een grote E. Een smaakvol... niettemin allesverslindend roofdier.
U kan de uitzending nadien op het gemak herbeluisteren via het Internet Archive. Details volgen nog.

Kris Van Poucke, in het Leuvense ook beter bekend als "de Poucke", alias DJ. Malcolm Nix, heeft een paper gepubliceerd met als titel "Een praktische toepassing van de Creative Commons license voor de Belgische bestuurlijke niveaus". Download hier de paper in PDF van het Internet Archive.

Abstract:
In deze paper wordt een beeld geschetst van een mogelijke toepassing van de Creative Commons Licentie binnen de context van de Vlaamse overheid, meer bepaald als een middel om via een gecentraliseerde database muziek aan te bieden aan alle aan de Vlaamse overheid verbonden bestuurlijke niveaus en openbare instellingen.

Deze paper heeft Kris geschreven voor z'n examen in het vak Management & Information Technology voor z'n masteropleiding Overheidsmanagement en -beleid. En hij was geslaagd ;-)
